This system provides direct retail vending of prepaid cellular airtime. The customer receives a printed voucher containing the use of the airtime purchased information. The software is designed to manage prepaid pin and direct TopUp credit transfer (refer to system diagram at the end of this page for more).
The system will consist of a back office server, merchant terminals, and a client web application. The back office server will consist of the authorization and database management software, SQL database, and Ethernet communications. Merchant terminals will run prepaid pin transactions, direct TopUp transactions and reports, and support Ethernet communications. The client web application includes the access interface to the database for XBC, carrier, wholesalers, and merchants. The database will hold wholesaler accounts, merchant accounts, prepaid pin bank, direct TopUp credit transfer bank, advertising, promotions, and coupons.

The primary element of data, and the products sold in this system, is to TopUp a customer's account. These numbers are purchased from airtime providers. Each pin number is accompanied by a control number and optionally by a security code. Each group of pins is for a specific product. Depending on the provider, these numbers may arrive in a variety of formats. A typical example would be a 3.5” diskette containing a plain text, CSV files emailed securely to you. New pins are loaded to the database after running through a filter designed for their specific formats indexed by: Product ID
This completely identifies the pin for provider, plan, and price.
